I’ve never been into wearing the color green.
The thought of dressing like a leprechaun or wearing a shade that resembled a babies diaper just never tickled my fancy. You can say my closet was completely deprived of all things green – on purpose.
Then something magical happened. Olive and emerald tones started popping up like hot cakes. Was this it? Green-based tints and shades that I could actually get after?! Yep. It was from that moment on that I couldn’t get enough. My generalized hate for green melted away and my initiation into the green world was official. Why? Because I put my bad experiences and silly generalizations of green aside, stepped out of my box, and actually tried something new. You can say that my love for select green hues has been going strong ever since. Yes, I still say select.
My challenge for you – take the limits off that color you’re not a fan of. Try it out! Don’t eliminate a pure color from your wardrobe like I did because you had one bad experience with one kelly green shade {still can’t}.
What color(s) do you tend to throw shade to and keep out of your wardrobe?!
Xx, Amanda
