It’s officially time to transition your summer pieces.
And I’m pretty sad about it. To be able to successfully transition your summer wardrobe into the fall season, we need to think about pairing our summery pieces with an anchor piece that screams give me pumpkin spice everything, or die. What better way to achieve this fall fake-out by styling pieces that are all-things summer, with a piece that is the classic cool-weather material? Meet your new best friend! Leather.
First things first, if you do not have some type of leather or faux leather piece in your wardrobe, we need to have a serious chat. The time is now, girlfriend. By FAR the easiest piece // best investment to add to your closet today is a leather jacket. Why? Because it looks amazing draped over everything and it will easily transition any piece in your closet to cool-weather appropriate. And no, a quality piece does not need to cost a fortune; I promise! Simply buy faux! Faux leather has come a long way and the quality {for most} is great. For example, my first faux leather jacket was purchased here and it was under $40. Can’t beat that! Bottom line, leather is a quintessential fall material that is classic and never goes out of style.
Let’s take this summery off the shoulder top for instance; I easily transitioned this gorge bright red crop top {actually THE color for this fall season, P.S.} to be fall appropriate with the simple addition of my beloved faux leather moto jacket. The same concept goes for your summer dresses + shorts {if you live in a warm spot}. Simply add leather and go!
What’s your fav way to transition your summer pieces?
Xx, Amanda
