The Stripe.
Okay, first things first; can we please chat about this gorgeous setting with the cutest barn I ever did see?! Located at Pine Brook Farm {or Pepperidge Farm as my husband and I call it} this 65 year-old farmhouse is home to an absolutely delicious restaurant in Spooner, Wisconsin. If you’re ever up in this neck of the woods, I highly recommend this spot! The scenery is absolutely beautiful and the outdoor bar is darling. A Northwoods hidden gem!
Barns aside, let’s chat about our good ‘ol friend the stripe. The stripe is certainly an oldie, but always a goodie. Stripes are always a great choice and always in style. Why? Because stripes are a neutral. However, like anything in fashion, you need to find what type of stripe works for you and base that style of stripe off your comfort level. Why? Because not all stripes are created equal.
For example, I’m a huge stripe fan, but I can guarantee you won’t catch me wearing a full-blown stripe suit like Beetlejuice. Sporting a head-to-toe stripe is too bold for my taste and simply not my style. However, you WILL see me mixing in a stripe with other patterns {think florals as I did here} and WILL see me styling the stripe with ohhh, just about everything else. Stripes are an incredibly versatile pattern and let’s face it; you really can’t go wrong when you treat the stripe as the neutral it truly is.
What’s your favorite way to style stripes?!
Xx, Amanda
