Embroidery at its finest.
This Free People minidress is the epitome of easy. I’ve worn this little baby countless times this summer {probably more than I should confess to} and still can’t get over the gorgeous embroidery + crochet detailing with its fun color-popping florals.
Although this piece is on the higher end of what I typically spend on dresses, I have quickly determined that it’s completely warranted as it’s suitable for all occasions and seasons. However, I have to let you guys on a teensy secret; I was not fully aware of the transition capability this mini had inside its little self before purchasing // trying it on. I mean, the embroidery + crochet work on this piece is absolutely insane. I was seriously blown away with wide eyes + sheer delight when I ripped it out of the Nordstrom bag {think of the Circle of Life music playing in the background and this was Simba’s birth presentation – I played Mufasa and the mini was Simba – all the while my onlooking husband played Scar and had a look that was a cross between irritated and down right pissed off at what I just spent. Story of my life // clothing obsession problems}.
Lion King reenactment aside, I think it’s safe to say that I’m quite pleased with this little number. To date, I’ve rocked this bad boy at bridal showers, date nights with the Hubs {he admits his love now}, the occasional work day {completely length appropriate!!! Unless you’re certified model-height then please reevaluate} and RUNNING ERRANDS {caps needed as this is no joke; I threw this on with my Tory Burch sandals + a baseball cap and looked so incredibly fly walking down the aisles of Whole Foods. #winning}.
What pieces in your closet are you having your Simba moment with this season?!
