All things rosé this week.
Guys. I never want to come home! All Things Rosé is coming to you exclusively from Lanai, HI and we’re loving every minute of our time here. We’re currently on our second half of our Hawaiian vaca and it has been incredible. Have you ever been to Lanai? It’s the CUTEST little island off the coast of Maui and it’s so incredibly relaxing. Stay tuned for a future post on my Lanai Travel Guide where I provide all the details on my love for this island. How has your week been?! I can’t wait to hear.
Cheers to another beautiful week in paradise!
The sunshine.
I didn’t realize how easy it was to forget the warmth of the sunshine when you live in a state that’s only really warm 4-5 {at best} months out of the year. It’s been averaging a daily temperature of 77 degrees since we stepped foot on Lanai and the warmth has never felt better. Our days in the sunshine have consisted of lounging under an umbrella, taking in the incredible views of the sea and watching the butterflies float about the tropical foliage that cloaks this poolside oasis. Ultimately, this is relaxation at its finest.
The flora and fauna.
The gardens here are so tranquil, I can’t even begin to explain how much I love these surroundings. We’ve found ourselves stopping off at all points around the property to say hello to the rescue birds {seriously, we have a signature whistle that they’ve been responding to} or enjoying the serene sounds of the many waterfalls and koi ponds. This lush tropical foliage reminds me so much of the Amazon rainforest and Galápagos Islands I studied on just 7 years ago. The fauna here is wild and I love every minute of it! This place truly brings me to a state of tranquility and peace.
A true farm to table epicurean experience.
Kurt and I are serious foodies. When I discovered my diet limitations 5 years ago, we became obsessed with the food scene and sought out all places that I could actually enjoy. Sadly back then, it was not many. Fast forward to today, and having an epicurean experience is one of our absolute favorite ways to explore a new destination or dine at home in Minne. One of our favorite food movements is farm to table cuisine, where the restaurant focuses on using local ingredients in all their dishes. This is what we LOVE about the Four Seasons Lanai. Every morsel is top notch quality and harvested from nearby gardens, lands or sea. From eating our weight in poke to daily açaí bowls by the pool, the food here has been absolutely exquisite.
Meeting the minis.
Seeing Lanai on horseback was by far, the best way to explore this quiet island {more to come on this later!} After our 1.5 hour ride, we were able to relax at the stables and meet the minis. Guys, I need a miniature horse as soon as possible. This little fella, Simba, was so sweet and was all about Kurt. It was the cutest! I’m convinced he’d be a great pal for Ruby and asked to bring him home. However, the verdict is still out if I’m able to get my mini soon.
What are you grateful for this week?
Xx, Amanda
